Travel Tryouts

Each spring, BJSA conducts evaluations and tryouts for players interested in participating in our competitive Travel Soccer Program.

Travel soccer is intended for players who are committed to improving their skills while competing against teams from neighboring Connecticut towns.

Players are evaluated on:

• Technical ability
• Ball control
• Passing
• First touch
• Speed and agility
• Tactical awareness
• Coachability
• Work ethic
• Teamwork
• Sportsmanship



Selection is based on overall evaluations and roster availability.

Not every player who attends a tryout is guaranteed a roster position. Our goal is to place players where they will have the best opportunity for growth and success.
